In a Tempest Tangled

The trek through the Eld Forest isn’t for the faint of heart. Between the road, nature, and the bandits, it’s a risky prospect at the best of times. But this storm is like something out of a tale, with trees cracking in the wind, blinding flashes of lightning, and rolls of thunder that never seem to end. And if that wasn’t enough, for the last few hours, you swear you’ve glimpsed… something…following you back in the trees, where you can’t get a good look at it.

Just as you were resigning yourself to a wet night in the trees, you caught a glimpse of lighted windows. If there was ever a fortunate time to happen upon an Inn, this was it. From the weathered look of the stones & beams, the Inn has been here for at least a century, so it should have no trouble fending off a bit of weather, even an epic storm such as this.

From the crowd in the common room, everyone for a day’s travel around has come in tonight seeking shelter. Well, that should provide a welcome distraction from the weather, perhaps even a chance to conduct some business. After all, a collection of travelers from the four adjoining nations should provide a wide assortment of tales, needs, and opportunities. One thing is sure: you’re not going anywhere tonight.

Welcome to the Broken Wheel. Private rooms to the left, order your food at the bar, and guests who start trouble will be thrown out in the rain. Enjoy your stay.
